Email option

We moved to G-Suite and it seems that users are trying to emails files from directly within PDFelement.  Since we would prefer to not have MS Office installed, this seems to be causing some issues.  If we set Chrome as our default email client, your software will not auto-open Gmail from within your application and attach the PDF.  It means our folks have to work around things by manually performing some steps.  Obviously, with Outlook this works fine.

Am I missing something to help this work?  It is almost like this application cannot use Chrome (as Gmail) for this task

Hi jclambert,

I believe this is an issue seen when trying to access gmail on Windows, but it has to do with Windows, not PDFelement. For example, I am unable to send things by gmail through OneNote or PowerPoint, even though my default email application is set to gmail. Sending files through gmail on PDFelement works perfectly on Mac though!

Best,

Rebecca

It doesn't work perfectly on a Mac either (10.13.1, 2017 iMac)

After setting my default email client to Google Chrome (only Gmail related option available in the OS X Mail app), PDF Elements Pro 6 opens the PDF in Chrome. It does not open a new email message using Gmail.

Hi Martin,

When you use the Mail app on the Mac, please make sure you choose Mail as the default email reader, not the Google Chrome. If you have set Google Chrome as the default email reader, when you send PDF file via our program, it will open Google Chrome directly.

Thanks
