Defaulting to PDF Element Rather than Adobe

Sometimes when I open a PDF it opens in Adobe and other times they will open in PDF Element Pro. How do I set PDF EP as the default program for any PDF that I open?

Hi Amy,

 

For the case, you just need to change the default open program to be our program or any one you want. So please right click one of your pdf file and choose Open with>Choose default program, then please select our program PDFelement 6 to open it. And please remember to choose the option of "Always use the selected program to open this  kind of file" at the bottom. After setting this, our program will be the default program to open PDF files on your computer.

how do I set as default app on Mac High Sierra.  I don't get the screen shown above.

Hey Tom, 

 

What Daphne posted was for Windows. Here are the steps for Mac:

 

1) Pick any PDF file in your finder and right click. Select "Get Info".

2) Once you see the pop up, go into "Open with" and select PDFelement as your default app.
