Hi Jason,

Could you please confirm what kind of password do you add on the PDF file, open password or permission password? And could you please upload your PDF file here or send it to our email address: pdfelement@wondershare.com for further check?

Thanks

After I assigned an open and permissions password your app worked fine protecting from printing and copying from the copy menu.  However, when I copied from a PDF and pasted to Word it allowed me to do that. The PDF may have been created with Mac Preview. So under MAC apparently the copy and paste function is not protected. This was done on the trial software. Any help here would be appreciated.

Hi,

For your information that this is because Preview does not password, since Preview program does not meet the PDF ISO standards, it cannot detect the encryption in the PDF file. So the issue is related to Apple's Preview program. For the case, if you use other professional PDF programs, such Adobe program, the encryption works successfully.

Thanks
